November Budget
Olivia discusses the November Budget
What's being mentioned
With the UK Budget approaching on 26 November, many of our customers are understandably wondering how it might affect fuel prices.
All attention is now on whether the Labour Government will remove the temporary 5p-per-litre Fuel Duty cut introduced in 2022. Fuel duty is also intended to rise annually in line with inflation, though this has remained frozen since 2011.
With fuel duty revenues continuing to fall year on year and with increasing pressure on the government to reduce national debt, speculation is growing that the freeze may soon be lifted, potentially resulting in further increases to fuel duty.
As we wait to see what the Chancellor announces, it’s important to remember that any rise in duty will have a direct impact on petrol and diesel costs.
We’re committed to keeping you informed of any developments that may impact your fuel costs. Staying ahead of potential fuel price changes can help you plan your budgets more effectively and ensure your tanks are full ahead of the busy winter season.
